ABOUT THE EVENT
As kasneb marks its 55th Anniversary this year, it recognises that the world, and especially the operating environment for professional around it, is changing apace. In environmental, political, legal, social, economic and technological spaces, the typology of change and its grand pace are making disruption the order of the day. What is the future of the professional space as we have known it, in the midst of this disruption? What adjustments need to be made, in order to survive the disruptions of the 21st Century? What things should be carried forward into the future, and what is the intersection between them and the emerging disruptions?
Both the anniversary and the changing environment call for a meeting of professional minds, to reflect on pertinent issues on change and continuity for the 21st Century professional. For instance, do the 21st Century professionals need to change their focus, in the face of unfolding realities? Are some of the things they are doing or even the way some professional things are done becoming obsolescent? Is the risk of becoming obsolete and irrelevant more real now than ever before?
A five-day conference for professionals is planned, to reflect on these concerns, as part of celebrating kasneb’s 55th Anniversary.
